Sore Muscles

Wesley Chapel, Florida  (high 81, low 63)

Yesterday was really warm.  I think it got up to 86 degrees.  A little unusual for this time of year, but not unheard of.

We drug our stiff and sore bodies to the gym again yesterday.  We told ourselves we would give our sore muscles a break from the weight machines and concentrate on the cardio.  Once we got there, we ended up going through everything though.  Of course, our reward for our hard work was a nice long soak in the warm therapy pool.  We kept moving the entire time, so we still felt like we were exercising even though it was painless.

We left the gym feeling really good but not long after the muscles started getting stiff and sore.  I guess we’re really out of shape.

We had no trouble getting 10,000 steps on our new pedometers.  Several of you have asked us to review them as they were looking for a good quality pedometer.  Many of us have had the cheaper ones in the past that didn’t work well.  We are extremely happy with these.  They are definitely a quality product.

We ordered them online from Walmart.com. They were $31 and included the battery, belt clip and lanyard.  You may find them cheaper elsewhere.  I had ordered some through Amazon, and I’m thinking they might have been a tad cheaper, but I had a problem getting Amazon to understand my billing address and shipping address were different.  (I later had to reconfigure my account info).

We’re waiting for a briefing from the Tampa Police Department.  Seven years ago a woman Al knew was presumed murdered.  Her body was never found. She was a business partner of a customer of Al’s, by the name of Earl Pippin Jr.  Al did some work for the lady on some property she and Earl owned and managed together.  He also did pest control for the home of Earl Jr.   Al still does pest control for the elder Earl Pippin and has known him for over 25 years.  Anyway Earl Jr. is a “person of interest” according to the police.    We’re anxious to hear what this big announcement is.

So, for today we’re going to the gym early, the off to take Mom to her doctors appointment.  We’ve enjoyed the gym so much that we feel like it’s a treat.  I’m sure that will wear off soon.  :)

13 more days until we leave for the prairie. Hitch itch is starting to set in!

Since we haven’t done anything photo worthy, I’m inserting some old pictures I just transferred to my new computer.

This is Bella on the left and Sweet Pea on the right.   Oh, how we loved Sweet Pea.   She was our neighbors dog in Georgia, but they didn’t take good care of her and she spent all of her time at our house.   Let’s just say she found a better home where she is appreciated.  She was the best dog ever!

  1. Interesting mystery about the possible murder - can't wait to hear the rest of the story.

The only part of that gym story that sounds good to me is soaking in the therapy pool.

Karen, I just posted a blog about Windows 8 and the Tile Screen stuff you were asking about. You may want to check it out.

  5. I have one that isn't always accurate, but I feel like I'm getting to know my body well enough to keep moving. Between the pedometer and the trail map I figure I walked over 12 miles in the last two days, and that doesn't count earlymorning or lateafternoon.

  7. Interesting that the PD did keep up on the case even though it went cold. It'll be interesting to see what has happened.
